Thanks alot for the links,

However,

I am looking for maybe a used one.

I dont want to spend 70$ on a chain guide.

Are these hard to come buy used?

yea, almost everyone I've seen that was for sale that was used, was either one foot in the grave or D.O.A. you just better off w/ a new one, that way it'll last and won't fall apart on ya the first it gets smacked by anything.

Hum,

I dont have much to spend and I know a guy selling a new stock white one..

Are they any different then the aftermarket ones?

What I mean is, they both serve the same purpose, but is it worth paying extra for the aftmarket?

Thanks alot

A couple of diffrences are the after market guide can be adjusted for chain angle(IE)longer or shorter swingarms and the bottom peice where the chain rides on the guide can be replaced.Your choice.

I beleive the stock ones are a hard plastic, but on the case of the ones made by UPP, they use polyurethane which is "stronger, tougher, and more durable than products made with conventional elastomers and plastic. " ( there's a whole description of it here - http://www.uppracing.com/index.php?cid=109). I put Upp roller, chain slide, and rub block on my R 2 years ago and they show little wear and have held up great. but it's all up to you.

No back to subject,

I was told that I can get a stocker from the dealer for 9$. The only way that I would still want one is if you have a nice aftermarket one in new condition....otherwise, I lll just go for the stocker..
