01bansheefox Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Not sure if this should go in the repair section because this isnt focused on a banshee but......... I picked up a 1980 CB650C for free... and I noticed it is leaking oil out of the head gasket when ran... now is this just a normal gasket leak that I should replace or does it mean something could be wrong with the head because dont head gaskets usually last for a great while until something inside messes up? floyd398 Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 (edited) Is it a big problem...Not really. just depends on how much your losing and how fast.... The oil is most likely leaking from the oil drain ports in the head. I would replace the head gasket and when it's off bring it to a machine shop and get the head slighty planed to take care of any potential warping on the head. Edited April 2, 2006 by floyd398 Quote
