Fireroad Express Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 want to know if stock shocks will fit +2 A-arms. Quote
banshee421twin Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 well when u look at aftermarket shock's there are some that say plus 2 so i guess u have to by aftermarket Quote
odaen Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 long as they're not "long travel" arms, they will fit. they will most likely be very soft with the added leverage of the arm. Quote
Fireroad Express Posted March 17, 2006 Author Report Posted March 17, 2006 thanks for your help. Quote
Justintoxicated Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 they will "fit" but they will suck as well, do both shocks and arms ar the same time or don't do it at all... Quote
NickyPap Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 (edited) I have quicksand +2+1 arms with works shocks stock lenght I also have quicksand -2 swinger with stock shock because I haven't been able to find an extra $600 for an aftermarket shock and of course that's at stock lenght also. Just check with the type of arms your buying what lenght they call for because if you order shocks you will need to know what lenght anyways. But to fully benefit from your new suspension you need to toss those stock shocks. If you can't afford the shocks try to atleast snag a pair of used yfz450 shocks. hope this helps a little Edited March 18, 2006 by NickyPap Quote
Wallrat Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 By going with longer arms you're changeing thie leverage ratio. Kinda like when you use a combination wrench vs. a breaker bar. Shocks need to be sprong/valved to accomodate the added leverage of the longer arm. Otherwise its gonna rid e like shit. Quote
