mollett89 Posted March 17, 2006 Author Report Posted March 17, 2006 no i havent really messed with it i was told by the last owner that it was prob a regulator im not really shure plannin on goin thru it this weekend any way to test the regulator Quote
vdubn Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 I have the same issue... new RS high output stator, just went through all of the wiring, but no lights at all. I'm guessing regulator as well, but curious if there is a test procedure to determine if that is the faulty part? Quote
batoutofshell Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 (edited) prolly get a volt reg on e-bay for 5-10 bucks worth a shot, thats what i did and that was the problem, check the bulbs first then pull apart the wires and hook a meter to them and play with the switch they should show some resistance if not its the regulator key has to on but the bike need not be running Edited March 17, 2006 by batoutofshell Quote
banshee421twin Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 Cheak everything you can. Then if you have to spend money do so. Nik Quote

mollett89 Posted March 24, 2006 Author Report Posted March 24, 2006 would my ignotion being screwed up be the reason for them not working my sisters boyfriend stuck a screwdriver in it and messed it all up shee still works just my key doesnt Quote
2bzy2p Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 could be a bad switch on the bars those go out.. u bought it for 250$??? id be more worried about it bein a legit banshee and not stolen rather than the lights not working Quote
mollett89 Posted March 24, 2006 Author Report Posted March 24, 2006 i got the title its from my sis ex b/f i was gonna pay 500 and he promised it would work with the new stator or he would buy it back well it didnt work and he got a dui and so he didnt have the money to buy it back so he asked if i would keep it for 250 when u say switch you mean hi beam low beam switch right he said the stealer ship said the regulator so i might try that i can get one for like eight bucks garunteed to work so what the heck Quote
J-Madd Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 If the bulbs are blown, check the wire to your voltage regulator. Its a blue wire that plugs in to the silver box mounted by the CDI. When it comes unplugged, it fries your bulbs. Quote
