sandadic Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 I have a 87 banshee. Starts fine when cold. After I run for awhile and engine is warmed up, it will not start again until it cools down. It does not even have to get to operating temp. Engine runs great when running. I was told it might be stator and got a new one from Ricky Stator. No luck, same problem. The CDI box is a couple years old. So my question is... do you think it is the CDI box or what? Anyone else had this problem? Quote
9603banshee Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 it's probably jetting....I had a bike that did the same thing....the trick is; turn your choke to half choke (first click up) then give it quarter throttle and kick start it.....mine started everytime...(might need to go up on pilots if your using stock carbs)...hope this helps Quote
ledofthezep Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 (edited) Try running it, and shutting the gas off until it dies, then turn the gas on & see if it will start up...may be just fludding itself. Edited March 15, 2006 by ledofthezep Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 i have the same problem but i always thought it was the tors Quote
macgillivary Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 maybe its overheating? and your not realizing it, got a temp gauge on it? Quote
