macgillivary Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 anybody ever run a clamp on pod filter for mx racing? does it get clogged up on some of the sloppier tracks? im thinking about doing it I wanna get rid of my single 40mm lectron and put in a keihin and a clamp on, nobody will send metering rods to Canada and my bike is running a bit lean now so i need something i can change the jets in, my power jet is turned all the ways out thanks Quote
Banshee17Racing Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 I do. I ran a clamp on K&N and now run a UNI clamp on with a 34mm PJ. I've never really had problems with them. The tracks I run at are always groomed and never really get to a soup mud. But there have been times when the track was a little past tacky. By the end of the night the filter had quite a bit of crap on it, but it wasn't caked on there. I just clean my filter after every race and I'm good to go. Quote
