04TeamYamahaShee Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 I bought a K&N air filter, and a Prodesign adapter plate. I installed both tonight, and kept the air box lid off. Am I ready to ride again? I bought it used from a guy I work with, so there were no directions or anything. Quote
Hilarious Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 Do you rejet your carbs for it? What other mods do you have in addition to the air filter? What's the temp where you are and what elevation are you @? You will deffinately need to go up a couple of sizes on the main jet if you havent already. You may get more replys to this in the jetting forum. Quote
04TeamYamahaShee Posted March 1, 2006 Author Report Posted March 1, 2006 My bad, maybe the mods can move it. Naw I havent rejetted anything. No other mods, just this. about 800 feet elevation (so says Google) Right now it's in the upper 30s-low 40's (F). Quote

I ran 240's in mine when I had the lid on and stock exhaust. You should probably have something like 200's in there now. I wouldnt run it much, if at all, espically WOT before putting in some bigger main jets. Quote

. Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 definitely get bigger mains in there. Also get an outerwears for the filter and also you can custom rig up another outerwears for a cover or they might actually make one for our airbox now. I havent done it yet, but I'm just taking my lid and cutting everything except the outer edge out and running an outerwears over my airbox. Quote
