Hello!

I just put in a new clutch....a special kit from Hy Tech in Fontana, CA. Basically, it's Yamaha friction, plus Barnet plates and HD Barnett springs. Into a '02 Banshee.

I've lined up the top pressure plate correctly with the arrows and I've adjusted it both in and out.....

When the bike runs, I can shift and ride normally, although it seems harder to get in and out of gears. When I'm sitting still, I've lost neutral completely when the bike is running! There's no way to find neutral unless you stop the bike and move it in once the bike is off. It's hard to move the gears around sitting and idling with the clutch in and it seems like it's not releasing all of the way, although I've currently got it all of the way out.

Any thoughts? Or does it just need to "wear in?"

Thanks,

Brian

I did some more research.......maybe I should NOT have put back the cushion rings???!!

I looked at the Toomey website that talks about installing the Barnett clutch and it says dont' use the cushion rings????

Maybe I'll take it back apart tomorrow to try this.
