oceansidesurf Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 I just got my set of Kehin PWK 28 mm's in....I'm about to bolt them in, but the fuel drain hose on the left carb runs right into the clutch actuator on top of the case. I notice that there is also a "side dump" drain but it is plugged. Can I plug the lower drain and drill out the side drain and attach the drain hose there? Or, is there any danger in just leaving the drain hose unattached from the bottom of the carb? What's the best way to get these things in there properly? Thanks! Brian [email protected] Quote
Banshee~ Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Get some reed spacers from nossmachine.com and then they will clean. I think if you get billet intakes they will clear also. Quote
sandman Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 I did exactly what your mentioning to my 28mm pwk's. Drill the side discharge out & put a screw in the bottom with teflon tape around the threads for sealing purposes. I did this a couple of years ago & have had no problems whatsoever. Quote
oceansidesurf Posted February 22, 2006 Author Report Posted February 22, 2006 Sandman, Thanks. That's exactly the advice I was looking for. I've got a Glamis trip this weekend....I'm just going to leave the drain hose off for this ride and when I get home I'll drill and plug. Thanks! Brian Quote
