hittintrees srh Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 Word yall. I started my shee the other day and again today and I noticed that it was smokin pretty good out the left side and not too much out the right. Also the left side pipe was'nt as warm as the right. So im thinkin its the reeds. What do you guys think thanx dudes, hittin P.S. it started within 3 or 4 kicks Quote
Wallrat Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Could be several things. Try swapping plug wires first to see if it switches sides. Quote
hittintrees srh Posted February 17, 2006 Author Report Posted February 17, 2006 anyone have any other ideas-could use all i can get Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Could be that the air mixture screw on the left side needs to be opened up, i.e. turned counter-clockwise. Sounds like the left side could be overly rich, providing you are getting spark. Could also be reeds, or even time for a top end rebuild, if the compression is below 100. or is 10 psi or more lower than the right side. Quote
hittintrees srh Posted February 17, 2006 Author Report Posted February 17, 2006 ok, i know the compression is 130 on each side, i dont have air screws(lectrons dont use em') and i swiched the plug wires around and no change. So im thinkin its the reeds thanx for your help dudes- if ya got any more ideas let me know Quote
Wallrat Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Clean the carbs. Maybe a jet is plugged. While you got em off you might as well check the reeds and see how they are. Quote
