FOXBANSHEE30 Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Ok guys im sure some of u have had this problem. I have a pretty bad exhaust leak on the left cylinder where the pipe meets the motor. I tried new rubber o-ring's with some sealant. I let the sealant set up for like 3 days and it still blows the damn things out. and now the right cylinder is startin to do it. Help me out guys. PEACE. Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 I had the same problem with mine, and it ended up that there was a groove worn in the exhaust flange coming off of the cylinder. I cleaned it up real good, and used a good 2 part epoxy to fill the groove in. After letting it dry for 24 hours, I sanded it down to match the rest of the flange, installed a new o-ring, and no more leaks. Quote
odaen Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 there are different o-rings you can buy as well. I think CPI's come stock with some beefy ones you could try out. I run them in my shearers now, because I got sick of watching them leak. It was a bitch getting the pipes over the exhaust flange, I mean a real bitch. Quote
