99txshee Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 My banshee has a strange problem when I first start it up. It will start fine and run OK for a few seconds, then it bogs down and dies. This happens with or without the choke on. You can rev it up and hold it there, but it will slowly bog down and die. If you goose the throttle repeatedly for a while or take off and ride it hard for a couple of minutes, it settles down and idles fine. Only does it when you start it cold. I have a 99 shee with the cut air box, TORS disconnected, and FMF Fatties with FMF silencers. Otherwise stock. This was happening before I disconnected the TORS unit. I also just rebuilt the top end, but it was doing the same thing before the rebuild. Any ideas????? Thanks. Quote
99Banshee Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 O yah.. make sure your coke tube is conected in betwean the carbs Quote
99txshee Posted February 10, 2006 Author Report Posted February 10, 2006 I have recently cleaned the carbs out entirely, bowls and everything. The carbs appear to be in sync and the air filter is clean. I also checked the choke tube. Its there. This thing has been having the same problem for about a year now. Once you get it warmed up it is OK and will idle all day. I don't know what the heck the deal is Quote
