typhoon1911 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 I looked into my intake the other day and saw that the carbs were filthy. Is it okay to use carb cleaners such as fuel additives or carb spray? If so, is there a preferred type? Thanks, Alan Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Take the carbs off, and spray off the outside real good, and then take them apart, and use the carb spray on them. Do one carb at a time, to avoid mixing up the slides and bowls. Quote
Hilarious Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 (edited) I wouldn't use any kind of fuel additive other than the oil that's supposed to be mixed with it. And I wouldnt spray anything in the carbs unless they were off of the bike and sittin on a workbench somewheres. Remember, anything that goes through the carbs on a 2 cycle engine goes thru the entire engine. Just my .02$ Edited February 1, 2006 by Hilarious Quote
