89shee4mil Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 So I buy this shee from a nice guy that says it has this and that. It really hauls ass and runs great. The cleanest example of a J-arm bike i'ever seen. Ok good deal, i'm going 4 mil so as long as the case and the trans are good i'm set. Took it home then took it apart ...... wow! This is the worst case of deterioration i have ever seen. He told me the upper case was ported, It was repaired because it leaked coolant into the crankcase. The trans was dry because it sucked all the fluid through the ground down sealing surface! what a piece of s..t. The drive bearing was spinning in the case and the metal shavings were in the bearing. The bearing cages were just as bad. What a mess. I cant believe this thing ran and ran hard. Thats why three of my friends bought new for their 4 mil projects. Any cases for sale? http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/jirondenis/a...m/ph//my_photos Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 There are 3 sets of cases on Ebay right now. Check them out, and see if you want them. Quote

RNBRAD Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 I don't think those cases are ported either. I guess it doesn't matter now. Quote
strokersquid Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 its clear to me the porting is like dimples on a golf ball that improve air flow. if it were me id set up an ebay account, sell a few small items to get a good rating then flog this "as new" payment by money order only. when the buyer complains, string him along until after the 60 day feedback limit by promising a refund. when you get it back you can ignore the emails because now you have the $ and the shee again. you can even do it a second time. i learned this from EXTREME BANSHEE with a crankshaft...
