I have no clue what my piloit jet is or where my needle is. I only ride the bike at Glamis in the sand so I would like to be able to show up with a rideable bike.

 

What should my set up be. Bike has

 

FMF Fatties

Vforce reeds

K&N

No air box top

 

I just want realible and simi fast.

Try some 320 main jets, middle clip on your needles and try your airscrews out 1.5 turns. If ya dont like the sounds of that, you could always try the search feature. :cheers:

Did a search but came up with a bunch of contridicting info as well as no real answers for a quad at Glamis...

 

I really have little clue about this carb crap I am used to tuning with a computer. AEM ect... I unbderstand the basics now and I was planning atrip this weekens but the quads are being difficult.

Sorry if I sounded like an asshole for sayin use the search but, sometimes it helps.

I'm runnin 340 main jets, clip on middle position, 27.5 pilot jets and I think my air screws are about 1.5 turns out. Where you are, temperature and elevation are also key factors. Its bout 50 degrees here and I'm at an elevation of bout 400' and I'm no wheres near Glamis. This may help you out.

290 mains, needle 4th clip, stock pilots, air screws to be adjust for best throttle response....this should be exactly what you need. I've done some jetting in Glamis w/ your setup..pretty much the same specs as my area....
