volks16valves Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 last year i had a blaster , it was so easy to jet this machine , with a tors eliminator kit a kid play . I boiught a banshee since 3 weeks, and my big willing was to get a 2 in 1 dynoport pipe , the rest i didnt care; the look or something else it didnt mather . I finaly won one on ebay , 113 $ what a dealio!!!! it fit with the stock silencer!!! its maybe the worst pipe ever to jet , I was one a 230 main , 27.5 needlle and 3rd clip , its was way too rich!!! i had to try a 240 to be sure... after i tried a 220 = too rich... then a 200 = too lean lol ... i went to the store and bought a 210 it, too lean!!!!!!!! can you imagine!!! < 210 = too lean 220 = too rich i passed the whole day to jet this friking machine but now i can tell you bodys that this pipe is complicated. so if your having trouble try my setup 27.5 needle 3rd or 4th clip 212 , 214 , 215 , 217 .... i dont know what company will sell those main jet but im sure it gonna work, and one thing i forgot to tell is that when i tried the 220 i ran out of gaz and b4 running out THE POWER WAS JUST TOO AMAZING!!! then i put it back on reserve and the quad was boggin again And thats the way it is! sredish Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 ok, where's your needle set at? try the 3rd clip? I'm going to have to say, I'm not sure how the stock silencers are going to affect the jetting. If they have some restrictions to them, which I bet they do, it'll affect jetting adversely. I'm going to say I feel you should be around the 240 range. Do you have your airbox lid on? If so, take it off and try some testing. Is your filter clean? Do you have new plugs in there, try some if not. Typically the Dynoport 2-1 jetting is in the 260 to 270 range. But if the airbox lid and snorkel is still on, then that'll take a few away. Go to the FAQ sections and search some for plug reading, plug chop, plug test to learn how to read your plugs. That'll give you the most info for jetting and knowing what changes are needed. Quote

Also what do you guys think about Power jet kit? http://216.194.105.243/powerjets.htm Quote
2strokesmoke Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 you are going to have to adjust the air screw . my 2 into 1 was runnin a 240 stock needle setting. im not sure how the stock silencer will work with the 2 in to 1 it gets a lot hotter than the stocker Quote
