lumi Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 hi my banshee for some reason out of nowhere , has a super low idle almost dying, and bogs when i try to rev it out of its low idle. it bogs at like 1/3 throttl and i have to give it 2/3 throttle ( half throttle) to get it to run normal and when i let off the gas it starts to rev low again and when i try to rev it, it bogs again. not a major problem but anyyoing. i have everything stock except for a set of wiesco pistons and a K&n with box and lid ,no snorkle. do not no what needles and stuff in it the guy at the shop did it. i am mixing castro 32:1. thanks alot in advance Quote
wesw Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 doesnt sound like your jetting would throw it off that bad. have you unplugged the tors system stuff like that will make it run like crap if its unplugged, remove carbs adn clean them. try again Quote
lumi Posted January 20, 2006 Author Report Posted January 20, 2006 whats the easiest way to disconect it, thanks for reply. Quote
wesw Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 there are 2 plugs on top of the carbs. anything electrical remove from the carbs. try that and let us know Quote
sheefreak Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 There is a TORS controller box under the gas tank, more on the shifter side of quad. Unplug it and it will eliminate the TORS sytem. If it fixes the problem you can just leave it unplugged until you get a kit to eliminate it. Quote
Robert Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 Clean your airfilter and your carbs Quote
sredish Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 I'm going to guess that it has to do with the winter temps. Since it's gotten colder, the air has gotten denser and your motor is wanting a tad more fuel. If you were on the line of being lean before, now you really are, in regards to the pilot circuit. Go up one size on the pilot jet(s) and see if that resolves it. How many kicks does it take to fire it up when it's cold? warm? Quote
lumi Posted January 21, 2006 Author Report Posted January 21, 2006 not gonna see my bike until monday im in upstate i live in brooklyn but it takes about 2-4 kicks or maybe less sometimes thats with choke. without takes alot more. especially when cold. when warm starts up pretty quick 2 kicks. i will try cleaing carbs and filter and unplugging the tors system will see how it goes once i get back, if that dont work i will have to do some carb playing. thanks for the replys tho guys. sredish Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 try going up one size on the main when you get a chance and see if it gets better. i'm betting that it will. Quote
wesw Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 going up on the main is going to help it idle and bogging you bike is a basically stock stock jetting is a little rich anyways. try the other suggestions first and go from there Quote
