skynoverya550 Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 on a big stroker..how would you figure out if you need to adjust the timing or not?.. Quote
rocketboy Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 for you(according to your sig) +7 degrees is the ticket IMO Quote
skynoverya550 Posted January 12, 2006 Author Report Posted January 12, 2006 i have a pro design..is that ok? or are there more quality brands.. also would i notice a diiferance going from a stock timing plate to +7 degree like you suggested?. Quote
blueshee03 Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 pro design is ok. a couple of my buddies run bigger strokers at the drags, they run pvl ignitions but more advance will give to topend and less will give to bottom end.i would play with the timing and set it to where you feel you think its the best for your riding and setup.i don't think i'd go much over + 7 tho if your runnin gas.+10 if your running alky.you run the risk of it kicking back when you go to kick start it and that hurts lie a damn.not to mention that it can kick back and throw the starting gear thru the case if it kicks hard enough.
