peterlocal22 Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 whats the best filter to run with a pro flow plate? I have a 2004 banshee with rocket pipes, v force reeds, adjustable timing plate 4 degrees. Do I even need to get the pro flow plate with the set up I have? Quote
NYUK Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 anything is better than stock, i have a foam filter and adapter plate for sale. Quote
sheefreak Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 The Prow-Flow plate is one of the most important mods anyone should do to a banshee for reliability purposes alone. The stock setup will easily let dirt past your filter and into your motor. Now as far as what filter you want to use, you will get a lot of different opinions on this. I prefer the k+n w/outerware as I run w/lid off. Some guys will argue that foam is the only true protection for your bike, but I have had no problems, and you get more airflow out of a properly maintained k+n. Quote
peterlocal22 Posted January 3, 2006 Author Report Posted January 3, 2006 it sounds like the pro flow plate is the imp. mod not so much the type of filter you get with it. Quote
txblueshee Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 If you ride in dusty conditions foam is the only way to go.... Mike Quote
peterlocal22 Posted January 3, 2006 Author Report Posted January 3, 2006 I ride in mostly dusty cond., dirt trails, so you think i should get a foam filter and not the k&N filter? Quote
Gargamel Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 trails with dust and mud -- foam sand and mostly dry trail -- k&n if you don't got one already then Nyuk is the man to get a used one from. Very trust worthy so you know your not buying junk Quote
MILO Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 trails with dust and mud -- foam sand and mostly dry trail -- k&n 454781[/snapback] i use the foam and it does work great for dust and mud, even with the lid off. just clean it frequently and it'll be cool. Quote
