Banshee-man27 Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 I have a sled engine that im hopin to toss into a parts banshee i got sitting around. Im wondering if anyone out there has put some kind of jackshaft or what not to hook up the rear axle to the engine. I know people have done it before, just wonderin if anyone could give me some ideas on how to do it, or some pictures of what they have done. Looking for anything to help. Quote
BigRed350x Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 If you are not going to hook up the belt drive, you could hook the rear to the crank on the engine with a chain/sprocket setup. I'm not sure the belt drive would fit in the shee frame without some huge mods. If you are using the belt drive, you could run it pretty much with just a chain and sprocket aligned right, if you can get it to fit. Most people that try this end up using a polaris scrabler or similar, sicne they are setup for the belt drive already, just putting a bigger engine in there. Quote
Banshee-man27 Posted December 14, 2005 Author Report Posted December 14, 2005 HMMM, im not sure that hooking up a sprocket onto the engine would work the greatest. Wouldnt there be a way to hook to a shaft, with a sprocket on that shaft then to the engine? Quote
