well i blew a head gasket out on thanksgiving so im in the proces of rebuilding i just sent the head to be shaved down 0.40 and im having to punch it out to .40 over with weisco pistons i picked up a set of t5s and toomy jets not quite sure what size right off the top of my head im advancing the timeing 3 degrees was thinking about some billit reed spaceres but not sure how much of a diferance the make or what size to go with. ive also striped down the chassis to paint it or powder coat depending on how much $$ it will run for the powder coat. so how does it sound? good combination?

Most people don't go more than .30 on the head cuz u run into squish issues with more.

Are you boring it out to .40 over cuz it needs it or for more power? Don't do any boring for power.

T-5's are a great pipe

Timing advance is a good mod.

reed spacers aren't really neccesary IMO

it all sounds good to me

dont worry about the reed spacers, all there good for is to clear the cltch linkage

when you get larger carbs.

also try to get your parts powder coated. It'll cost more for sure, but they'll look a lot better for a lot longer.

going 40 cuz it needs it i was going to go 20 atfirst but after looking at the cyl more closely and taking some mesurments its got to go .40 the reed spacers idea is scraped looking into powder coating some parts along with the frame but im going yellow on the frame with black plastic so i might just stay black havent decided yet. and i already got the head milled if it turns out to bee to much i have another stock one i can get done dosnt cost me much since i know the guy who does it

.035 is safer IMO , but your head will work ,just that your squish band will be a little less than desirable  theres alot of peeps who go -.040 on the head . soundsl ike your gonna see some good gains in torque and usuable power to me :bolt:
