bkabina Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Take off the water pump plate on the outside of the cover.Take the clip and washer, gear and little pin off the back side.Slide the water pump out.Use a socket to drive out the old seal.Be carefull you don't scar the case where the seal goes.Make sure there are no burrs.Lube the new one with some wd-40 or something and drive it in.Make sure you put the seal in rite, it should be marked.oil side/water side.Becarefull putting in the new seal. PassionRE Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 Once old seal is removed, if you will spray the hole with carb spray or contact cleaner, and also spray the seal as well, you can push the seal in all the way with just your fingers without risking damage to the seal with a driver.....Jim Quote
