Worth it or not?

Hey guys, this is my first post on this site. i am looking for a new quad and i need help deciding what to do. There is an 06 banshee at a dealership near my house used for only 10 hours as a demo and i was wondering if it is worth spending the 6 grand(canadian) or if i should just buy an older model for alot cheaper and mod it?

I would try to find a used one that's already modded, at least piped, for less money. A lot of people take really good care of there quads and sell them for a lot cheaper than a new one. Just look it over real good before you buy.

Do what you can afford. I always try to get the newest I can for my money. As long as a used one is in good shape then theyre the same in my book, since there hasn't been any factory changes.

Yeah thanks. im just worried someone is going to have a great looking quad for a great deal, except after i buy it ill find out its insides are torn to shreds.

If your planning on doing many mods I'd go for an older one with a good frame. If you want one thats already modded, you could find a killer bike for the price of a new one.

thats why you need to test drive it, do compressioin test, look at the frame (peel cracked PC means good chance for crack or bend), Kick start it COLD to see if it starts normal, and others will chime in on other stuff they check or I'm forgetting.

do a search there is lots of topicson what to check on a used bike.
