Toomey Banshee Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Sears sucks big friggin major horse cock. I bought a refrigerator from sears in June of 03. Since then I have had 9 repair calls all for the ice maker leakin water all over the freezer and my floor. I am now on my 10th, and sure they will be back, replace the ice maker and motor and what ever the else they wanna f**k with, but the fact remains, I have a new home, new floors, they f**ked it up, not me. They all say its a "water filter problem" gotta change my water filter more. The manual says 6 months, I change it every 4 so I say BULLf**kingSHIT!!!!! They suck. Is anyone an appliance repair guy here on the HQ? I'm at my wits end with this shit. Opinions, suggestions? Quote
batoutofshell Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 What kind of water do you have there? I have had the same filter in there for 4 years and it still works and doesn't leak I have a monster Maytag the biggest they made and I bought it at the old Montgomery Wards before they closed so you can tell how old it is. Hell I don't remember ever changing the filter. I did buy a trickle charger at Sears for my other quad and it wouldn't work so I took it apart and low and behold there was nothing in it the wires were still uncut and they wouldn't give me a refund so I bausted it on thier front door on the way out and will never shop there again! just a note of Sears high quality customer care!! mikeb75 Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 (edited) hey man i have worked on appliances for the last 6 years and it sounds more like the valvae is not closing all the way sometimes it should be located iin the back on the bottom you can usually get a new one for 30.00 or less some are more expensive especially if you have the ice and water despencer in the door anyways it sounds like it ether is not quite strong enough to close all the way or it could have a piece of debrees caught in it might check that just a guess with out looking at it personally but that is where i would start later mikeb Edited October 8, 2005 by mikeb75 Quote
