I need to buy some new brake pads and I see carbon and sintered metal kinds. What is the diffence between the two other than carbon is a little bit cheaper. Also an brands recomended or brands to stay away from? The Tusk brake pads on RMATV are cheap so i was gonna buy them unless someone suggests otherwise.

Thanks

carbon gives really good braking performance and does not fade with use, performance is outstanding....however they wear fast and then they will fade alot.

sintered as good as stock performance and will last a long time.

Ive had sintered last a year of hard use and I just tried the carbon on my 250r and got a month and now they fade pretty good, I havnt look, but assume the material is shot.
