98bonerSTOCKshee Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Me and my brother went up to SW oklahome took check out 20 acres of land up in the hills , as we where on aour way back, we were going to stop in Talihina, OK for some dinner, this is a town that is normally dead, with a few stores and cafe. When we turned on to the main road in town 2 dirt bikes hopped on the road in front of us heading toward town, we were like, "someone in gonna get a ticket". Around the corner there was a local policecar, we wathched the bike go passed as the cop just sat there??? Then as I looked down the road more the atv's and bike were like roaches in the woodworks!!! Bikes and quad cruising up and down the city streets. Then I noticed the road course leading thru town then off into the woods... We saw info booth so we stopped. Come to find out it was the 1st annual Grand Prix.. We had my bro's 500 sportsman and I had my daughters old yamaha moto 80.. (let the banshee at home) Races are today. Here's the video from when we first saw the bikes hit the road, they pulled away hard and we couldn't keep up without speeding, this is an uncut video with parental explicts (I had a few bad words) Shows you how freaked out we were... definitely need some banshee's out there next year.. more info... classes and course info a map of the course Grand prix course occra.com Quote

A sportbike heaven. 416240[/snapback] We use to hit that area atleast 2 times a month. Theres only 2 cops that patrol that 3-4 mile stretch of GOOD corners. Gotta watch out for sand during winter time and leaves during fall. I know that road like the back of my hand, sceen a buddy go down infront of me once wasn't too fun. If you think that's a sport bike heaven head east to Arkansas sooo many good roads out there that put Talimena to shame.
