FOXBANSHEE30 Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 Hey whats the deal with the air gap on the flywheel?? Just got a ricky stator plate. How do i set the air gap?? Thanks. MEADOWS. <<<CWB>>> Quote
eehsnab2 Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 you set the gap to .018. Take off your flywheel cover and you will see a little black box with some wires attatched to it. That's your pick up (it'll have a little magnet on it). Turn your flywheel so that the magnet on that meets up with the pick up magnet. Unscrew the pick up (should have two phillip head screws on it) and stick your feeler guage between the two. Tighten down screws.... Your Done! Quote
eehsnab2 Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 you probably know but.... you set the timing by the #'s on the plate to where your cases meet together..Just loosen up the plate to your desired timing and tighten it back down. Quote
