anyone know how many are dead from hurricane Katrina , i havent heard any numbers or estimates and just curious if any peeps on here have a credible number??????

they mayor is saying it could be as high as 10,000 but also says he really has no idea for sure. so who knows. we wont know for a while, im sure.

May never know the real number of dead. There were a lot of people living under the radar in NO. Maybe a year from now when they can start to compare tax, social security, and welfare records of the past to what will be new, will be some indication. I'm guessing the gators will be well feed for a long time.

i heard in one part of the city there is 10000 dead there alone let alone all the other places in the city

on the local news they are claiming as many as 10k, and only about 70 confirmed so far for the new orleans area..
