aguita Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 hello guyz..i just got my ricky stator tming plate..anywayz i was reading instructions and it says that i need to adjust the air gap what is that? it shows on a pic that is like a black thing on top of the flywheel..also what do i need to remove the flywheel?and how to i advance the timing?? sorry for all this questions Quote
Virtualbat Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 the air gap is between the picup coil an the flywheel. yes you need to remove the flywheel. and to adjust the timming line up the marks on the plate to where the case splits. you should be able to see a thin line. then just set it at what advancement you want, then tighten down.
