badassbanshee479 Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 how big can I have my 35mm air strykers bored out to?? I need a set of 39mm's but I just bought these and don't really want to sell them and buy new ones. or am I better off selling these and buying bigger ones?? Quote
Ducman Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 I'm not that familiar with the Keihins but in general the bore must be smaller than the slide or air will flow around the slide. Measure the slide and figure 1 mm or so smaller than the slide dia. Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted August 22, 2005 Author Report Posted August 22, 2005 thanks I will look into it Quote
The Rebel Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 Kehins or Mikuni's, same thing on the bore dia. You can only go as big as the original slide channel before you start bleeding too much air past the slide. So what ever the channel dimension is , is maximum bore dia. You may be able to oval bore them to get some extra cfm. I would find some 38mm carbs and trade or sell the 35mm set. I would say you could safely go to 36mm with yours. Rebel Quote
