Bansheeman1121 Posted August 21, 2005 Report Posted August 21, 2005 Ok after i unpluged my kill switch once yesterday to hook up some aftermarket headlights it quit workin. I did my whole electrical system about 6 months ago so i no it inside and out for the most part, the tors is disconnected and the key switch is also disconected so i rely heavily on the kill switch. the plug is in good conditoin and i checked everything inside the kill switch housing both wires look good. 1 thing i did notice is i have a stray black wire with white stripe hanging around the kill switch plug that i might of had connected somewhere and disconnected it when i unplugged the kill switch. any ideas?? 98bonerSTOCKshee Posted August 21, 2005 Report Posted August 21, 2005 just for shits and giggles ground that black wire to the bars and see if that helped... ifso it came out of the switch somewhere. my clymer is showing different diagram for the shee's: 1987 -2001 black/white wire going to the key switch which you said you removed, I am assumming you jumped that wire correctlly before. Black wire runs from kill switch to the harness it is the ground wire for everything ( lights, tors, etc..) 2002 (and up?) Black/white wire runs from kill switch to harness ( tors and cdi) black wire is just grounded.. clymer isn't showing it connecting to the main harness let me know if that helps! Quote
