Was your bike in gear? If it was in neutral your back wheels should not have locked up. If you take off the clutch side cover it should be obvious. If it is in neutral, try and spin your crank while you are in there, if it is locked up, you may have lost a circlip and locked up the crank or something of that nature. Seen it happen before, but hopefully it is no big deal like in blue duece's situation.

WHY DO YOU HAVE CAPS LOCK ON? You know the banshee has a clutch lever right? The rear wheels wont move if you have it in first on flat ground. Yea you have to drain your tranny fluid.
