BRIAN BANSHEE Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 are they any good? They look sweet!! Quote
wesw Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 my brother in law runs them sound wicked as hell and pull thru the whole range good. a good low to mid pipe Quote
80overShee Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 (edited) I rode one yesterday with those pipes, Trinity head, Keihin carbs and port work. Either they don't respond at all to port work or they are complete junk. I also raced a different one at a drag strip on Saturday, I didn't have paddles and he had Skat Trak 10 paddles and I smoked him, thats sad. My stock ported, stock carbed Banshee with T5's will eat it alive. I'd go with NO ....although they look and sounded sweet......but so did the Corvair... Edited August 9, 2005 by 80overShee Quote

Maybe he didn't have any engine work done either, and the 10 paddle (way too much for a most pipped shees) were bogging his motor down. Maybe he had old plugs, or doesn't do regular maintenance. You have to consider these things before you start rippin' on someone and their quad/mods. I've ridden several pipped shee's... fmf, pro-circuit, toomey, and sadly... DG. All were pretty similar... pipes, K&N, lid w/o snorkel, 90 octane, and stock gearing. The pro-circuit bike pulled the hardest out of all of them. Not saying it's better... it just performed better. I have DMC aliens on mine, not the 916, and I can honestly say that mine pulled harder than the pro-circuit bike... once again... with K&N, lid w/o snorkel, 90 octane, and stock gearing. Now were these fair tests... somewhat. Would have been better to have each pipe on the same bike to test like they do with exhaust shoot-outs. But that's not possible when you're out fucking around. I'd say compare the facts yourself. That's what I did, and that's why I chose DMC... they were the only one's at the time I was looking that actually had dyno results posted on their website supporting a shee with a K&N and pipes... like most people run. I'd say after having mine on for the summer.. I'm extremely happy and content with them, and wouldn't trade them for anything considering I'm trying to bridge the gap between all types of riding... woods/trails, track, drag, and sand. Quote
420banshee Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 i have the dmc exhaust same one on mine i have a 420 kit big bore carbs boost bottle or whatever u call it and a few other things and mine is wicked fast and sounds sick i would definitly go with the dmc Quote
stclark816 Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 DMCbanshee ran them for a while, I think he liked them! They do sound good though, a guy we used to ride with had them. Quote
