BrianEb Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 Another novice Banshee question. Ok if you head is stock and motor is stock is it worth it to get 34mm carbs? All I have right now is V3's reeds and T6's pipes. Or would it be better to go billet manifold and coolhead first with 21cc domes and then upgrade the carbs? Also my friends banshee has T6's pipes, Boyseen reeds, Coolhead 18cc domes, twist throttle not sure about the rods, but his seeme to fly with his T6 pipes. And his engine has been ported. Why are T6 pipes are not so good with ported engines? Quote
decon Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 (edited) no you will not benefit at all, you would actually loose performance. stock carbs outperform anything on a stock engine, you would benefit from a 2 in 1 carb though but not 34mm duals Edited August 3, 2005 by dEcon Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 Save the money that you were gonna spend on the carbs and get 20cc domes, good gripy rear tires, lighten your flywheel and advance your timing. You'll be closer to him, but if hes ported your still a ways off. Quote
Ducman Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 dont get the carbs untill you get porting, dont get the manifold ultill you get the carbs, 34mm carbs will not fit the same manifold boots as stock. Quote
