I've got a Keihen PWK carb I'm trying to tune. I know I need a .059" jet but Keihen doesn't rate their jets in inches. What the hell dimension are they using? The one I have in the carb now is a "178" which measures ~.063 inches. Anybody know what the conversion from the jet size to inches is?

No clue. You might try calling Sudco.com or CarbParts.com for that info.

Stock porting with FMF pipes, I ran a 200 main with the EEK needle. Typically, IMO, 170 to 190 is pretty typical of a piped banshee and a single 35mm carb. The EEK needle will let you come down a few sized on the main and provide better transition with the stock portwork. To me, 140 sounds kinda low, but every shee is different for sure.

I know it's huge, that's why I need to go smaller. Only problem is, I don't know what the hell the sizes mean in terms of real measurements.

I would think you should only be in the 140-160 range maybe smaller pic up some of those sizes and go from there, which needle do you have? If i remember correctly my 35's have a CEL.

This is actually for a TRX250R I'm tuning for my brother...

I know exactly what size jet I need. One that is .059" in diameter. I don't want to buy a dozen jets and guess.

I'll contact the above places since no one seems to know how to convert the jet sizes to inches.

If that doesn't work, I'll order a small jet and drill it out to the correct size...

I have 28mm pwk's & as far as a baseline to start out with for a stock motor with fatties: 155 mains. If I was you I would start out with 165 & work your way down a bit For the most part keihn goes in increments of 2 or 3 for the most part 155,158 160,162,165. I currently have some mild port work, shaved head & fatties & I'm running dual 28mm carbs with 175 mains. I'm not sure about the needles except they were changed out to a diff type by the store I purchased them from to accomadate the banshee. By the way 175 Keihn jet is equal to a 330 stock carb jet (mikuni). Hope that helps.
