Banshee Pilot Posted July 11, 2005 Report Posted July 11, 2005 I'm tired of the stupid stock airbox on my bike, so I've been looking into getting a pair of clamp on filters. However, I've been told that foam filters dirt better than the K&N material. I found some Uni foam clamp ons from Rocky Mountain ATV, but I'm worried about sand sticking to them, since that's mostly what I ride in. Does anyone have foam clamp ons, and if so, how do you like them? -Craig Quote
racer Posted July 11, 2005 Report Posted July 11, 2005 i love my foam. i run it with a 2:1 setup from toomey with an outerwear also. Quote
Banshee Pilot Posted July 11, 2005 Author Report Posted July 11, 2005 Do you have a standard, K&N-type Outerwears on your foam filter? Any issues with sand clogging up the filter? Does anyone else have an opinion? -Craig Quote
CombatTalon2 Posted July 11, 2005 Report Posted July 11, 2005 i run twin uni clamp ons w/outerwears. They work great in the dunes. you get little bit of dust on the outside of them but thats about it. have not had a problem with them yet! Quote
racer Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 i dont know if they are the same outerwears or not. toomey already had the parts matched up and in a kit when i bought it. i would assume that they are the same though, its just plastic mesh, right? Quote
