I would guess that it is because they are...

1) Heavy

2) The hit of the banshees powerband would not be good on the lip of a huge jump

3) Harder than many other quads to manipulate while in the air

I am pretty sure #2 is a good reason, because I have seen videos of guys doing freestyle jumps on banshees with 250R engines in them. That would also make the banshee lighter :shrugani:

If you are looking to get into freestlye, you could do pretty well on a banshee (I would think) Great shocks arent even necessary if you land the jumps perfect and on the gas.... But who lands everything perfect

Hope this helps :headbang:

its because the banshee is a pretty poor jumper compared to 250rs and yfzs etc. If you are launching big and doing rediculous tricks you want every advantage you can have

arent 400ex's just as heavy?

The 'shee only outweighs the EX by about 10lbs.. but it's all in the geometry of the bike. It's also what people are more comfortable on too... I ride with a guy that does freestyle on a ds650  .
