shift forks

me and my buddy are putting in my stoker crank and while we are doing that we are switching cases due to a broke rod in my last bottom case going threw the case...but when we go to switch the gears over the shift forks....if you are on the back side of the case with the crank in front, the side with the two shift forks, they look the same but they have a one and a two on the different ones, so where does one go and where does two go, i got the side with one shift fork on, i just got the other side messed up ....thanks

#1 goes on the sprocket side, #2 goes on clutch side.
