rzcolobanshee Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 10th character- Identifies the model year. For example: 1988(J), 1989(K), 1990(L), 1991(M), 1992(N), 1993(P), 1994®, 1995(S), 1996(T), 1997(V), 1998(W), 1999(X), 2000(Y)------2001(1), 2002(2), 2003(3) Quote

Rare Scottish Tree Badger Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 uhhhhhhh isn't that what I just posted? lol 387681[/snapback] Certainly was. While on the subject ... my bike (according to the previous/ 2nd owner) is a 2001. I've not had reason to doubt this as the frame number has 2000 as the last 4 digits. I just assumed it was a frame that had been manufactured the previous year. But your explanation of the 10th character makes me wonder, as the '2' of '2000' is the 10th and that makes it a 2002. ... . ... Can't see him making out that it was older than it is? Im in the UK, if that makes a difference. 3GG-###### 2000. Rare. Quote
