I was wondering if there is a big enough difference by adding or removing the stock snorkel to effect jetting on a banshee with just fmf gold pipes?

well, not much. You should be able to squeeze another main jet size out of removing the snorkel and cutting the rear 2 inches off the lid.

I was wondering because I did a WOT test in 6th gear and the plugs looked to be lean but it runs good.So I put the snorkel back on and was going to try a wot test again but it seemed like it was rich as hell I couldnt even get going that fast it was loading up and smoking alittle. than I took the snorkel back off and it runs good.So I dont know if it could be lean or not. I'm running 260 mains at 1400 above sea level with just fmf golds.

So, if the plug looks lean with the snorkel off, try upping another size on the main The snorkel is a pile of ass that should be taken off and thrown away, period. Take the snorkel off, check the plugs, and jet accordingly.

IMO, 260's do sound a tad on the lean side, but my opinion is strictly that, an opinion.
