bansheefreestyler Posted June 5, 2005 Report Posted June 5, 2005 hey guys. when i was working on my shee today I lifted the back end up a bit and it made a clunk. every time i lifted it up it would make a clunk. i didnt lift the back tires off the ground. is that my bearings gone or is it my back shock? also how long does it take to change axle bearings and what do I need to do it. do i have to take my hub off and everything? thanks guys. later Quote
ssanddemon Posted June 5, 2005 Report Posted June 5, 2005 Something's loose in the back end, obviously. Your best bet is to have a buddy lift up and set the rear end down repeatedly while you have your head down there to see where the excessive play is coming from. It could just as easily be from the suspension linkage or the shock eyes. Changing out the bearings and bushings anywhere on the rear end is pretty straightforward. As always, a Clymer's manual will guide you with decent instructions. Quote
