stclark816 Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 PM boonman or BdBanshee about getting your fly wheel lightened. Quote
BdBanshee Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 Make sure whoever does it makes a tapered fixture to mount the flywheel on when machining it. This is important so that the flywheel spins perfectly concentric with the crankshaft when you re-install it on your Banshee. I remove about 9 oz. from the outside diameter of a Banshee flywheel, and a couple more when I machine slots in the face. And always use the correct thread in style puller! Quote
boonman Posted June 5, 2005 Report Posted June 5, 2005 As Ron mentioned. The center hub is imperative. As is using the correct puller. Otherwise, you will twist the flywheel if you use a jaw style puller. Quote
