spurdy Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 (edited) I recently broke a couple of teeth off in the transmission and locked her up. Amazing how fast that can bring you to a stop! Anyway, I have replaced the gears and have the cases and top end reassembled. I want to up the compression by changing domes in the head. I am currnetly running a 21 cc and was contemplating going with a 19 cc. Will I have to run a race fuel or a mixture or can I still run 91 pump gas without damage to engine? I want to have the option of using race fuel but I don't want to have to use it. Any suggestions? Edited May 27, 2005 by spurdy Quote
JohnnyWadd Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 I think you will have to run at least 50/50 race fuel and pump gas. When you get the new domes run a compresion test and see what you get. If it is over 150 you should run mixed fuel. Quote
05bansh Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 I say throw in the 19. The extra compression is worth it imo. Mixing 50/50 isnt that much $ Quote
Stinger Posted May 28, 2005 Report Posted May 28, 2005 I've got 21cc chambers and have 152psi compression on mine. I can get away with 91 octane fuel...just barely though I'd imagine. Quote
