What size domes are you running (cut/standard) ? I know that porting will lower your overall comression but am not sure if you should compensate that loss by running a smaller dome....I also hear that running really high compression will reduce top end performance; is that true? Sorry for so many questions, just want to be sure I build it right Quote

rzcolobanshee Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 Small domes will kill top end performance, don't worry about compression numbers, they will only tell you if you need a rebuild. Compression ratio and squish band are key. I've done a lot of research on this lately, I used to run 15cc domes and now I know why I had no top end. You should have your builder cut the domes for your application. Quote

I mean, did you notice more overall power, more low end, more torque, no difference, etc.? Quote
