im at my damn wits end! ive hit a road block that the majority of you guys will think is stupid. I can't get my new fmf silencers to slip over the expansion chamber pipe???? the silencer is lacking one inch of lining up with the bolt holes so i can get it bolted up. this is the third set of fmf pipes i have had to do this. Once on my 250r, and twice on the banshee, this being the third time. for all you veterans out there is there some special magical way that you twist the pipe to get it to slip on there?? im about ready to bolt the stockers back on! on my old 250r i had to heat the flange area of the silencer up with a torch and then i slipped on fine. im somewhere now however where i don't have a torch handy unless i load it up and take it there. so any help would be greatly appreciated! i will definitely keep trying. thanks, BigCP

Take the back plastics off and have someone put hi-temp silicone around where they meet. You have to push pretty hard when it goes on if the holes dont line up push or pull ( it can go to far ) so they line up and put the bolts on. Put the exaust clamp on tight and torque all the bolts for the front to back so nothings binding. What pipes are these? fatty, sst, gnarly?
