badazzpolaris Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 I will try to cover all the bases here, but if I miss something than just holla back... I just bought my first quad, is a 98 shee mostly stock, but reading other threads I think my jetting may be off. Here are the mods that I know of Boysen Reeds (I beleive its the Rad Valve, as I have the entire stock cage) K&N filter w/outerware Pro-Flow Airbox lid is on, but I'm gonna ditch it Pipes are stock No other motor mods to my knowledge The mains are 200 right now, and I beleive that may be stock. I gathered that with these changes the jetting should be changed, and don't want to risk burning it down if its too lean. I have ridden it, and it seems to run strong, but I don't really have anything to compare it too. So what do Ya'll think, am I too lean, if so what should I be running, or do I not have to worry about it? Thanks for your time, have alot of questions, just trying to figure this whole thing out... NEVER SATISFIED Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 (edited) sounds like its in the right range.. get some pipes and throw a 260 in there.. go wide open throttle and see if it bogs in the last gear wide open.. if not then go bigger till it does.. then go down one. Bansheeman1121 Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Sounds somewhat lean to me maybe throw a 210 in there, but if the plugs look of then your mains should be good. As stated get some pipes and ditch the lid and start at 260 Quote
