Jibrille Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 Hey there guys. This is just a pure newb question. Is it at all possible to bust the crank without causing any other internal damage? It there is more then just the crank what would it all be? The reason I ask is that I found a Shee for sale for fairly cheap in my area, but all it says is it needs a new crank. I'd rather ask here seeing as many of you are Shee-Gurus, and if I plain out ask the guy selling it, he could lie and sucker me in either way. Thanks a lot. Quote
Wallrat Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 Well generally the whole crank assembly is going to have damage, especially the bearings. Aside from that, I doubt the pistons and cylinders would survive intact, head probably got knicked up too. May have even done damage to the case. All that loose metal floating around could have trashed the tranny and gotten into the clutch as well. Personally I wouldn't buy it unless the cases were split and I could see what I had to work with. Quote
