Long Rod Todd Posted May 2, 2005 Report Posted May 2, 2005 I need a starting point for jetting with this setup. (Main, Pilot, Needle clip postion and needle type.) Trinity Stage IV port, Trinity Stage IV intake w/38 mm PWK, V-force Reeds, Cool head 20cc domes, T-5 Pipes, GYT-R ignition module, Clamp on K+N, and wiseco prolites. At sea level. The carb is currently set up with 178 Main, 55 Pilot, 4th clip from the top on the needle. It's not together yet, just wanted to know about what size jets to order. Thanks Quote
Wallynut Posted May 2, 2005 Report Posted May 2, 2005 I'm not real sure how much different you are gonna be, but I'm at 190main, 48pilot, eek needle-2nd clip from the top. Haven't had any time to really say the eek needle is better, weather here is still cold, but really adds to the mid range for me. I'm one to order lots of jets (both mains and pilots) so I can tune it in for different seasons since we can vary quite a bit. I'm running a 33 pwk while most have 35, not much difference if you ask me. Get all the jets you can afford, if your still having trouble, consider ordering a different needle. www.carbparts.com is a great place to deal with, fast delivery and decent prices. Quote
sredish Posted May 2, 2005 Report Posted May 2, 2005 The porting is gonna be the big variable. Call trinity and ask them what other peeps have been running with the single carb and that porting. Quote
Long Rod Todd Posted May 2, 2005 Author Report Posted May 2, 2005 I already sent a e-mail to trinity I'll see what they say. I think I'm going to try the eek needle also. Time to get ordering. Thanks for the help Quote

Thanks for the help 363405[/snapback] With portwork, you'll probably need it, as the DEK can limit WOT flow. With my portwork, I ran a 200 main, 52 pilot and EEK in the 4th. Just for FYI, and like I said, all portwork is different. I have NO clue how the trinity work is done. Let us know what they say and where you end up. Later. Quote
theeechozen1 Posted May 2, 2005 Report Posted May 2, 2005 The EEK needle helped mine a bunch, but still not reving as good as I hoped it would. I might raise the needle up a notch to see if helps. I am running a 210 main and 52 pilot. EEK on the 3rd clip. night and day difference over the DEK needle. Quote
