My 6 year old has a 03 XR50R,and I have a quick ?.I'm going to take the JUNK airbox off and replace it with a uni pod filter,and a crankcase breather.I'm also going to take the spark arrester out,my question is do I need to rejet it after this???

I'm sure you'd need to check it anyway. It may not pull enough air to make a huge difference. I've noticed some of the smaller machines are rich anyway. It may just run better by leaning the whole circuit but not need to be rejeted because its overdone already.

you can go one size up depending on where you are i put a k and n on mine and took out the sparky and had no problems im in the nor cal area about sea level but this might not make a differance being your son rides the bike but i ride mine and a couple of my folks work over a CHM honda and you accually lose power taking out the sparky according to the dyno anyways good luck
