gatesy Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Last night I took my sump plus out, and out came some of the thread from the motor . Is there an easy way to fix this? I put 2 standard washers and the copper washer on the sump plug, I did it up, but I am a little oncerned that it may come lose. Thanks in advance Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 sump plug= drain plug for the transmission? If there is ANY signs of stripped threads I would take it to a shop to have a Heli-coil put in. Its a pretty comman and inexpensive way to repair threads. Do not think the threads will hold..Ive seen someone toast a 300ex thinking aslightly stripped oil plug would hold Quote
